| Online Gallery Expands | ||
| We are pleased to present a greatly expanded collection
in our online gallery. As of late September, there are
almost 100 Aldrin works in the main gallery, including
oils, pastels, watercolors, and woodcuts representing
every period in the artist's productive life. | ||

Palos Verdes (1960) | Anders Aldrin was the featured artist at the Palos
Verdes Arts Center, 5504 West Crestridge Road,
Rancho Palos Verdes, California. The one-person
exhibition began March 16 and ended April 27, 1996.
Located in the Center's Beckstrand Gallery, the
showing included approximately 33 of Aldrin's works
from the 1930s to the 1960s. The Center presented a
selection of oils, watercolors, and pastels and featured
a number of his paintings of Sweden. At the same time,
the Arts Center showed approximately 24 of Aldrin's
woodblock prints in the Norris Film Gallery
downstairs. | |
| On Friday, March 15, 1996, Vincent Aldrin gave a
pre-reception talk at the Center, sharing stories and
memories of his life as the son of the Swedish-born
artist who painted in the Los Angeles area, including
Palos Verdes, from the 1930s to the 60s. As part of the
"Tuesdays at One" Lecture Series, Janet Blake, noted
curator and art historian, gave a talk entitled, Anders
